Be one of the many inspired as we come together to end homelessness on Wednesday, October 30, at Abbington Banquets. A morning of community networking, warm breakfast, and warmer hearts awaits you during DuPagePads inspirational Wake Up Your Spirit Breakfast, hosted by President & CEO April Redzic. Guests will learn about the correlation between housing and health from keynote speaker Stephen B. Brown, MSW, LCSW, a faculty member and Director of Preventive Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System. Stephen came to UI Health’s Department of Emergency Medicine in 2011. He is the Program Director for Better Health Through Housing, a demonstration pilot that is raising awareness in Chicago for the need to recognize homelessness as a dangerous social condition, and to scale the Housing First model. The program transitions patients who are chronically homeless into permanent supportive housing. A DuPagePads client whose life has been transformed because of your support will share their journey. The generous support made possible through this inspirational morning strengthens client successes, connecting more families and individuals to the proven solution of housing, coupled with support services and employment programming to end homelessness.
